Valsan Koorma Kolleri was born in Kerala in 1953. He studied sculpture at the College of Art and Craft, Chennai, and pursued further studies at the M.S. University, Baroda, where he also taught in the faculty, for a brief period of time. One of the most innovative artists in India today, Kolleri has several shows to his credit.

His selected exhibitions include Zu Gast Bel BQ curated by Grant Watson for BQ Gallery, Cologne, A Retrospective, Project Arts Centre, Dublin, and Begegnung Mit Den Anderen, Kassel, Germany.

His versatility in expressing himself through different media is highlighted in this show by a set of photographic impressions on canvas.
